Weekly Specials & New Menu Items
It’s been a few years since we made any changes to the Bandidas menu, but this past fall we found ourselves playing around with a few new ingredients and combinations. We know, we know: change is hard. While a few current menu items may be cut, our main goal is to enhance what we already have, while throwing in a few more interesting ingredients.
Last week we had a tasting event for some of the new menu items being considered. About 20 people—regular customers, friends, and a few staff members—all came together to sample a few of the new ingredients we’ve been testing.
The scene was quite adorable: nachos, tacos, and burritos were all consumed with intense focus, and careful notes were taken. We had a group of people who were seriously up for the task.
We don’t yet know what the changes will actually look like, but we’d like to give you the opportunity to help us decide! Bandidas will launch a series of weekly specials in order to see what people like the best, and what works well for our lovely kitchen crew.
This is how it will work: each week for the next couple of months, we’ll feature the new ingredient/dish as a special.
From February 14th until February 20th, we’ll be trying out our new spicy cauliflower. You can get a plate of three tacos, each with cauliflower, guacamole, lettuce, fresh-cut tomato salsa, cheese, and sour cream for $7.50. You can also try the same combination of ingredients (plus rice) in burrito form for $8.75.
