About us
2781 Commercial Drive
604-568-8224
Our food is handmade and fresh. We make everything in house and are one of the few restaurants in the city with handmade corn tortillas. Look into the kitchen during dinner and watch one of the cooks, roll, press and griddle the tortillas fresh for your plate. We strive to create healthy, affordable and fresh food.
We are dedicated to an environment and community that is as healthy and enjoyable as the food. Bandidas was built entirely by friends and family. The two young owners, Jackie & Aiyana had a small budget, and limited experience. Their community helped to build the restaurant, gave advice, and offered moral support. Bandidas is committed to giving back to the community. We sponsor local community events, contribute to local causes, and hang the work of local artists on our walls.

Owners & staff are dedicated to making Bandidas as sustainable as possible. We use compostable packaging, only serve local beer and wine, and make you bring your own cups if you want a coffee or juice to go. We try to buy locally and from smaller distributors. We use free-range eggs and organic tofu, tea and coffee. We recycle. We re-use old furniture and equipment when possible rather than buying new items. We have maintained being a car-free business, using bikes, baskets, and a locally made cargo trailer
(cargocultmessengers.blogspot.com)
instead of a company vehicle. You might see one of us riding a bike down Commercial Drive, pulling our large blue cargo trailer loaded up with restaurant equipment or supplies.
We welcome you to our restaurant, and are glad you are here.
Thank you for your support,
Jackie, Aiyana & Staff
